Josiah M. Peay

Josiah M. Peay

Raised in New York City, Peay played for Coach Charles Granby at Andrew Jackson High school in Queens, NY. Winning 2 Queens championships in high school, helped Peay gain attention from scouts all around the country. Peay averaged close to 25 points per game as a senior as a bulldog, earning multiple accolades including; All-State, All-City, All-Division, and multiple all star game appearances across NYC. Peay's senior year accolades helped him earn a full athletic scholarship to The University of Maine. He was a black bear for 4 years, under Ted Woodward as head coach. Peay graduated from UMaine with a bachelors in Child Development & Family Relations. His dream was always to play in the NBA just like a lot of aspiring ball players, now he's creating opportunities for others to chase their dreams. Peay played in the ABA for 3 years, for 2 different teams, experiencing the league as a player. Stepping into an ownership role is challenging, but Peay is not one to back down from any challenges. His passion for the game of basketball only grew as he's gotten older. He resides in Central Pennsylvania with his wife and kids, and is bringing men's professional basketball to an amazing community. The Central Pennsylvania KINGS was created to inspire, and that will remain the vision.
